From: physfitfreak@gmail.com              - I don't know what their plans from the beginning of the war was, but       Syrian forces have been doing only retreating since the war began. If       their plan was (still may be) getting fighting forces of terrorists out       and away from Edlib, this was achieved days ago. But Syrian forces have       kept retreating, leaving every major city in the hands of the terrorists.                            - Ok, now it's clear what's going on. Syrians cannot defend themselves.       They officially asked Iran today to "immediately" intervene militarily.       They want Iranians and Russians do the fighting for them. They have made       four official requests at different times today.              Hmm..              This situation reminds me of something that now I know is a key fact. It       is from a few years back when Soleymani was conducting the war against       ISIS in Syria. He had reported back to Iran's militia, "Syrian army is       useless. Give me one brigade of Basij forces and I clear the entire       Syria from ISIS with it."              That now rings an ominous bell. Cause another "Soleymani" may just not       be there for Syria. They may have to own their problems and solve them.              Even Russia asked Iran today to use military forces in Syria. Give the       work to a bunch of tribes and you cannot expect anything better than       that. I can't believe that in more than four years Assad did nothing       about correcting these tribal structures. At this point I don't know       what he was thinking, and what he was waiting for!...              It is realities like this, which entices USA, Israel, and even Turkey,       let alone Wahhabis, to take advantage of the situation of these backward       people who cannot learn and think outside their tribes' concerns fast       enough to defend their country. Like Israelis, who're tribal to their       bones themselves, Syria needs other nations to survive as a "country."                     - We won't know Iran's decision till tomorrow when Araghchi meets Assad       in Syria. What a joke of a situation.. They can't resist terrorists at       least a few days to give time for Russian and Iranian help to arrive!       They all have retreated instead of fighting. If their soldiers think       their lives are better than their Syria, they're no soldiers. And for       same reasons eventually get killed by terrorists.                     - There's a rumor of military coup in Syria. Many sleeper cells have       begun anti-government activities in various cities close to Syria's       capital. They think with the rapid southward movement of the terrorists       they'll get there sometime soon.                     - Ok, time to step back and see the big picture. It is not actually the       Syrain Army that's at fault. It is the Syrian people. When war gets       close to their cities, just like Israelis they pack and leave the city.       In Iran, in the 8 year war with Iraq, Saddam many times defeated the       military forces of Iran but could not defeat the _people_ of Iran.       People didn't pack and leave as if they'd been on vaccation all these       years in a foreign land and now they should go elsewhere. They stayed       and requested arms and ammo and explosives of all sorts from the       military and they _defended_ their cities. That's how years of effort by       Saddam and the entire world could not result any success for those       bastards.              The people in Syria (and Israel) don't have it in themsleves to fight       for their cities. They're not true citizens. They're good times people.       Times get bad and these rats leave their lands for the enemy.              I think this is what's been happening in Syria.              Every Iranian has had a two-year mandatory military training under his       belt for the past 120 years! We created it as soon as superpowers       appeared. At war time, these ordinary people become soldiers, not       tourists who'd of course quickly go elsewhere. I can't believe Assad had       not prepared for this in that sensitive area. Shah of Iran may have been       currupt to his bones but he never, ever, allowed men to bypass mandatory       military service. Most mornings, he'd wake up at 2 am in the morning and       secretly flew to some godforsaken military base across Iran to be there       at 5 am sharp ready to observe military's routine morning exercises by       his own eyes and in his own presence.              My friends in the military would tell me they never were certain next       morning Shah himself would not be in their base. Even their top       commanders didn't know that. In this way Shah made sure _every_ military       training grounds in Iran is doing what they were supposed to do as if       next day Shah will be right there standing and watching!              Result was that even after his downfall, the entire world could not       defeat Iranians. Your lovely USA could not do it! Soviet bastards who       hated the Clergy regime could not do it no matter how much they helped       Saddam. West Germany who even supplied much of chemical weapons to       Saddam could not do it.                     Did Assad do any of this for his country? Did he at least do as much as       Shah did? Evidently not! Now he wants Iran fight the war for him.                     - Russian top commander in charge of Syrian operations has just been       fired. So he did nothing either while he was there. Must've received the       funds and shoved them up his cro-magnon ass and nose.              --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
