   There are no 'Europeans'.

Europe is a huge continent, which is populated by a large number of
people, which live in a large number of nations.

I, for instance, live in Germany.

Germans are a crude mixture of all sort of tribes, which left their
offspring in the region now called 'Germany'.

A lot of these people had actually slavic roots, which are more or less
more related to Polish or Russian people, while others stem from Romans
   and from kelts.

That's why there is no consensus, how to deal with geopolitical
problems, like e.g. the Ukraine conflict.

But Germany is only one of a lot of countries, which all have their own
   interests, friends, demands and enemies.

To bring this into a single consensus is like herding a flock of flees.

That's why it takes some time.
