   Nonsense....

In Statistics class I learned how to covertly bias group selection to
"prove" whatever you want. For example calling home phones during working
hours over-samples the unemployed despite appearing random. Finding a truly
representative sample of voters to predict or understand an election is very
   difficult.

There are certainly ambitious people from disadvantaged backgrounds who
needed a little help to advance, my father for instance. The Southern
admonishment "Don't get above your raisin" shows the barrier to be broken.

The biographies of Eddie Rickenbacker and Booker T. Washington describe
their youthful struggles, critical first break and rapid self-improvement.
