   I learned the theory and history from excellent teachers in high school and   
   the very different reality from listening to refugees, most recently from   
   the Congo. The required history class in college wasn't nearly as good or   
   interesting. For example I still remember and typed into Google to check   
   spelling that Leon Czolgosz shot McKinley, Gavrilo Prinzip started WW1 and   
   Guy Fawkes tried to blow up Parliament. Stalin's real last name was   
   Dzugashvili, Lenin's Ulyanov.
