Compare Ward Churchill with the Chinese

The comparison is specious. Our rst is not a professor and the SCC
newsgroup has few followers. Compare a professor with a professor:
that will be clearer. The said Chinese professor was fired by his
peers - the academic senate of his institution. Academic senate can
vote and do this kind of things in the US as well as in China and what
happened to this professor in China can happen in the US.

Instead of our rst, we should talk about Ward Churchill, who was a
full professor in a state univeresity in Colorado. He was fired by
the school's Regents of the Board because America since G W Bush
became president has been highly intolerant of Americans criticizing
its foreign policy. In fact, many 9/11 truthers academics have since
lost their jobs, more quietly than Churchill.

In the Chinese case, it wasn't the government who fired him, it was
his peers. One could say that his peers might have been beholden to
the government; but the same can be said about all the American
academics who have lost their jobs since they spoke out against the
   government on 9/11.

Governments, here or there or in Taiwan are pretty much the same.
They feel threatened when you are big. Our rst is not big enough for
our government to make a fuss about. Plus our rst has retired while
Churchill was still active - so he could be speaking to a bunch of
students about the evil of the neocons everyday if he chose to.

There might be people who are out here day and night waiting to
harass, to snip and snipe, and to try to silence those who would speak
about things the neocons don't like. But nobody beyond SCC would hear
about it. The chinese professor case you hear about is due to the MSM
and the State Department. The Churchill case is news because he was a
full professor of Native American descent, a professor at a State
University, and he fought back hard, including long hard battles in
court to try to get his job back, had a podium in the academic
community, as well as the fact that we have an internet these days.
