We should not view the events in Ukraine/Crimea as a loss to the US.
We already snatched away a big chunk of Ukraine, namely the middle and
the western part of the country. We should be happy for our gains.
Crimea was never Ukrainian. It was a mistake committed by a wayward
USSR politicain by the first name of Nikita. Gorbachev has called the
Crimean referendum a step to right the wrong Krushchev committed.
It's just that we can't have all the low hanging fruit on the tree.
We just have to accept our own limitation and move on. VP Joe Biden
might be moving his lips repeatedly to mouth the words: "It's plain
land grab... It's plain land grab." But when he was in the Far East
Asia late last year, he assured the word that the US had projected
power in the Far East Asia for decades and it wasn't going to change
now.. So, what does Uncle Sam want? Uncle Sam needs to choose!
