Try to explain why Hitler put 80-90% of his Wehrmacht forces in the
eastern front. Hitler was forced to fight the Brits only because they
interfered with his Lebensraum objective in the east. Poland was on
the road to Russia, not to the British Isles. As for France, its
contribution to WWII was never very significant - it was just a
colonial power from Europe's glorious past and had a history of
border-related wars with Germany or its predecessor, Prussia.

Also, Hitler had no ideological disputes with the UK or France but a
huge one with the USSR - he hated the commies like he hated the Jews,
the gays, the gypsies, and the communists. In fact, back in America,
G W Bush's grandfather was happy doing business with Hitler's war
machine and was opposed to Washington getting involved.

Hitler and his ilk had given their war a long thought about where and
how to get their Lebensraum and decided that the Russian commies were
the ones who deserved the most to be killed for their spacious land.

No, you got it backward. Hitler didn't want to fight either the Brits
and especially the Americans. The Brits got in his way after Neville
Chamberlain's initial appeasement and then FDR went to war with Japan,
for which Hitler had no choice but to fight America as an enemy, due
to the treaty that existed between Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.

(He wanted an alliance with Imperial Japan because Japan would come in
handy to choke off Russia with Nazi German troops coming from its west
and Japan coming from its east. Hitler's WWII has always about Brot.
   You like Deutsche Brot, rst?)

Nazi Germany put over 80% of its Wehrmacht on the eastern front so as
to defeat the USSR. But the fierce, turn-around battle of Stalingrad
prevented the siege of Leningrad from succeeding for Nazi Germany.

Hitler did not "have the right idea", not by a long shot.

He hated the commies and wanted big fat Russia for Germany's
Lebensraum. That was the main reason for his WWII. It wasn't the
Brits or the Americans he wanted to unnecessarily spend his precious
Aryan capital on. He was logical for what he wanted but he was
totally misguided, i.e., had the wrong idea to begin with.
