I didn't write this part, just to be clear. Saddam may or may not
have this stuff that is tagged onto him, but the above quote was part
of another version of the story that Saddam was a monster, no question
because he executed his health minister for offering an advice Saddam
sought in the first place and sent his remains back in a sag of body
   parts.

It was a more sensational version of the story and was provided by a
bunch of people who were actively working to whip up a fever for G W
   Bush's war.

Because of the significant variation of the story, I choose to also
include what the wikipedia said. About this incident, it was at least
weeks between the cabinet meeting and the time he was executed. The
wikipedia also mentioned that he had to resigned his post for the
death of a patient treated in a state hospital.

Given the variations and given the trustworthiness of the people who
provided the account, I would think that some journalists would go
find his widow or his surviving relatives, at least after Saddam was
caught and imprisoned, to sort out the discrepancies and exactly what
happened. But nothing. This makes you wonder about Saddam's soldiers
pulling the plugs on incubator babies, a story which was presented to
US Congress to inflame the first gulf war (as Herbert Walker Bush was
ready to start a war against Saddam) and which was later found to be a
   lie.

Another thing that makes you curious is why the murder of this doctor
was not part of the package of indictments against the dictator?

Of course, killing many Iraqi Kurds to suppress a rebellion was the
big story there. But then, how many brutal suppressions of rebellions
have occurred on this planet and yet we don't hear, for example, Petr
   Poroshenko is a monster?

That goes back to your earlier comment about your bastards as opposed
   to their bastards.

So, all in all, the demonization of Saddam who has been dead for
nearly a decade serves only one purpose:

To whip Saddam's corpse for a cause: to drop bombs over the Iraqi sky
and to put American boots on its ground.

Propaganda is a useful tool for the warmongers. Hitler had his Joseph
Goebbels too. But in the long run, nobody knows why Goebbels was so
important to Hitler. But when you needed German boys to fight for
you, you need an effective mouthpiece. Hitler is dead, but propaganda
is always useful for the next warmonger.
