The big picture:    
      
   In 1993 Alqaeda Moslem terrorists bombed the World Trade Center in New York   
   killing 6 civillians and injuring about 1000.    
      
   In August 1996 Osama Bin Laden leader of Alqaeda Islamic terrorist group   
   declared assymetric war on all Americans to kill them wherever they may be.    
      
   In August 1998, Al-Qaeda carried out the bombings of the U.S. embassies in   
   Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, killing more than 200 people and   
   injuring more than 5,000 others.    
      
   In October 2000 Alqaeda carried out a suicide attacked on the USS Cole in   
   Yemen killing 17 Americans and wounding 39.    
      
   In 9/11/2001 Alqaeda suicide terror attacks on the World Trade Center and   
   Pentagon was the game changer in war strategy. For the first time weapons of   
   mass destruction in the hands of suicide terrorists necessitates preemptive   
   war to remove the    
   possibility of any future attacks. Prementive war is the only way to prevent   
   suicide terror attacks with weapons of mass destruction rather than wait until   
   attacked. The 9/11 senario called for justice to be served to the terrorists   
   wherever they may be.    
      
   The Iraq government under Saddam Hussein supported Palestinian suicide   
   terrorists by training them and/or paying their families cash for their loss   
   of loved ones. The reason for the 9/11 terror attacks, in the terrorists own   
   words,  was to support the    
   Palestinian war of resistence against Israel and America. Thus after 9/11   
   Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction program and/or regime posed a   
   direct threat to American national security as well as the rest of the world.    
      
   Saddam Hussein's state supported terrorism posed an insurmountable threat to   
   American national security due to Iraq's national sovereignty and diplomatic   
   immunity etc. Terrorists could operate with official government cover.  Thus ,   
   American national    
   security post 9/11 could not be based on UN inspections alone which was for   
   many years after the 1st Gulf war "Desert Storm" hampered by Saddam's military   
   dictatorship.    
      
   The Americans had to go into Iraq and remove all WMDs and infrustructure for   
   themselves because no one else could do it. Thus Saddam Hussein and his sons   
   were ordered to leave Iraq peacefully or face the U.S. military. He chose   
   poorly as the American    
   invasion could have been avoided except for the selfish ambitions of one   
   military dictator and his sons.
