Had the Nazis won we wouldn't hear as much about the Holocaust       today, no? Certainly allied war crimes were swept under the rug in the       wake of victory.              >       > And finally, if Stalin were committing a crime or an evil comparable       > to the crime or evil of Hitler "in the same timeframe", why did the US       > not ally itself with Hitler to fight Stalin, but instead Stalin to       > fight Hitler?              What a silly comment that seems to ignore history. The US didn't join       the allied force to liberate prisoners of concentration camps. Indeed,       history indicates that we could have done more in that regard but it was       not a high priority.              >       > Thus your exuberant conclusion about Putin may need some serious       > factual support to gain any credibility, methinks!              Well, one shred of evidence from the recent past is that he dedicated       the Sochi Olympics to Stalin. He even compared himself to Stalin in the       same breath!              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
