XPost: soc.culture.china, soc.culture.usa, soc.culture.latin-america       XPost: soc.culture.iraq, soc.culture.syria, soc.culture.african       XPost: rec.sport.tennis       From: acoustic@panix.com              Listen to this:        Jeremy Bash, who served as chief of staff for the Pentagon and the        CIA, said Mrs Clinton would both escalate the fight against the        Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, and work to get Bashar        al-Assad, the Syrian president, "out of there".               "A Clinton administration will not shrink from making clear to the        world exactly what the Assad regime is," he said in an exclusive        interview with The Telegraph. "It is a murderous regime that        violates human rights; that has violated international law; used        chemical weapons against his own people; has killed hundreds of        thousands of people, including tens of thousands of children."              Just as an aside, it sounds like Jeremy Bash is describing our own       government. His points all apply to it:               (1) "a murderous regime that violates human rights" (check: we do        that not just in the notorious Guantamano, but also everywhere        we've unload bombs or propped up dictators, from Korea to        VietNam to Serbia to Central America to Iraq to Afghanistan to        Libya to Yemen to a long list of other places).               (2) "has violated international law" (check: our war crimes against        Iraq are finally getting some attention even among our puppet        states in Europe). And the new Philippines president Duterte        has said that he would talk peace with what used to be George        Bush's terrorists.               (3) "used chemical weapons against his own people" (check: we've        done similar, in providing Saddam with chemical weapons to use        against Iran, and of course in the more distant past we provided        small-pox infected blankets to Native Americans, not to mention        the Tuskegee syphilis experiment targeting African American men        and the Guatemala syphillis experiment, in Guatemala).               (4) "has killed hundreds of thousands of people, including tens of        thousands of children" (check: good ol' Madeleine Albright, one        of Hillary's predecessors as Secretary of State, working for        philandering Bill C, said that our killing of 500,000 Iraqi        children was "worth it").              So I wonder if Bash realizes how ironic his statements are. But in       any event, monumental hypocrisy is nothing new to the US government.              And it's probably not as surprising as it first seems if you allow for       the behavior known as "projecting".              What might be the actual information content of his message is that       Assad may have replaced Saddam as the mega-villian in the view of the       Deep State. And its operatives are already hard at work in preparing       for the next administration in which Hillary will be the titular head       to sign off on their wars.              And it sounds like the girl in the white pantsuit with a load of       machisma is itching for a war with Syria and a showdown with Russia.       The UK Telegraph has already screamed:               "Hillary Clinton will order a "full review" of the United States'        strategy on Syria as a "first key task" of her presidency,        resetting the policy to emphasise the "murderous" nature of the        Assad regime," foreign policy adviser with her campaign has said.              The truth is that Hillary, as Obama's first secretary of state for 4       full years, played a large role in destabilizing Syria and creating a       condition for civil war in that country that would kill hundreds of       thousands civilians since. Wikileaks released cables showed as much.              How convenient it is for the operatives of the Deep State to blame the       horrific deaths on their currently designated mega-villain then!              So, Jill Stein was right in telling "Democracy Now!" just days ago:        "... Hillary Clinton has a track record for doing absolutely        horrific things, for expanding wars, in the likes of Libya, for        example. There could hardly be an example of a more catastrophic        war, which has been more problematic for increasing the terrorist        threats. Finger on the nuclear button? I worry very much about the        air war that Hillary Clinton would like to start over Syria with        this no-fly zone against a nuclear-armed power in the form of        Russia."              And Jill was right about fearing an "air war that Hillary Clinton       would like to start over Syria". Hill is gonna get ready to get rid       of Assad on Day 1 when she moves into the White House - just like Bush       was busy getting ready to invade Iraq on Day 1 of his presidency.              She knows her first job as president, as Bush knew his, was to launch       a regime-change war.              And this time, she is wading into a direct collision course with       Russia.              Does she really think Russia will roll over?              Even those who fall for the line that Putin is such a bad guy surely       don't want to get incinerated. (And if he were bad, that would make       a nuclear exchange more likely rather than less likely.)              Even in the days of Stalin, Krushchev, and Brezhnev, we didn't want a       war with the then Soviet Russia. So if you loath Putin, it's hard to       imagine you would want to see a war with Russia with Hillary's finger       on the botton.              Hillary the hawk as president is a frightening scenario!              And who knows, after she has put Putin in his "little man"'s place,       she may then want to do a "pivot" to South China Sea and maybe bring       NATO into doing an R2P of the poor little ASEAN victims from China in       the Pacific.              Does she realize that, in addition to having the world's largest       economy, China also has 1000 warheads mounted on ICBMs?              Does she realize that even 100 warheads exploded anywhere on earth       might cause a decade-long winter in both hemispheres where it dips       to freezing every day, even in summer? This of course isn't known,       but it's not out of the question, and agriculture could not survive       it if it happened.              Hillary said she believes in Science. Does she really? She might       pretend to believe some opinions about some parts of science. But no       one who takes science seriously does not see the harmful effect of       wars on the planet's climate condition, long term or short term.              If George Bush shocked you, you ain't seen nothin' yet if Hillary is       next in the White House. The girl in white pantsuit has machisma!              "Imagine a world in which Hillary is there in the White House...", to       paraphrase W.              lo yeeOn              --------              Hillary Clinton will reset Syria policy against 'murderous' Assad regime       By Ruth Sherlock, Philadelphia 29 July 2016       http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/29/hillary-clinton-will-       eset-syria-policy-against-murderous-assad/              Hillary Clinton will order a "full review" of the United States'              [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
