XPost: soc.culture.china, soc.culture.usa, soc.culture.syria       XPost: soc.culture.african, soc.culture.iraq, soc.culture.pakistan       XPost: rec.sport.tennis       From: acoustic@panix.com              Trump has called President Obama and Hillary Clinton the "founder" and       "co-founder" of ISIS. It's an essential truth provided that you're       intelligent enough and intellectually honest enough to parse Trump's       pronouncements.              The nitpickers might say that Trump is wrong because George W Bush and       his British buddy Tony Blair were the real founder and co-founder of       ISIS. Or worse: They might say: "why should we have to parse his       text? Why can't he give it to us straight?"              But give the guy a break!              He has made it clear during the primary season that George W Bush was       the father of ISIS.              Now, he's been pummeled from the Republican establishment as well as       its evil Demo counterpart for just about anything he's said concerning       the wars (or their "heros").              While the Republican Establishment believed (wrongly) that they had an       "Establishment Lane" open to race on, Trump now has at most a bike       lane to get through to the finish line in November. So, of course, he       can no longer invoke anything remotely connecting to the Republican       party (or its past) to hammer on in order to win the election.              It's been a bi-partisan disaster for the past 16 years and Trump has       made it clear - for a long time already.              And Trump's distaste for military intervention is also well-known and       well-documented.              So if you're not happy with Obama being the founder of ISIS, at least       we can settle on the notion that Obama (and Hillary Clinton) being the       MVPs of foreign intervention, aka today's war against ISIS. And if       you didn't already know, Trump also provided that title for the two of       them.              MVP or Most Valuable Player is a term understood by every American.              Certainly, George W Bush, Condoleeza Rice, Dick Cheney were MVPs for       the neocons' Project for the New American Century (PNAC). And       certainly the PNAC and the wars that go with it are the parents (or       founders) of ISIS.              And certainly, actors/players come and go.              The original players have been replaced by Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe       Biden, and other current players. So, they are naturally the latest       MVPs who have been mugging with ISIS.              Trump lets you take your pick and you see his meaning. Trump is the       latest symbolist in the modern American political theater of the       absurd.              Symbols are actually quite appropriate vocabulary because people don't       have all day and those who want to can take the words apart, parse the       text, and draw lines between the dots.              What Trump really wants you to think about is the performance of the       company these American ISIS MVPs have run for the past how many years       --- 8 or 16 --- take you pick.              Consider this, Obama is presiding over the longest war in American       history.              And it's been nearly 8 years, just under his leadership. But what did       he do? He didn't have a clue. Afghanistan is going from bad to worse       and, according to Fiscal Times, we could save 70 billions a year in       addition to being able to avoid going "from bad to worse".              A lot of those in the war party, which is a bi-partisan bunch, would       sneer at the 70 billions.              But, Hillary has proposed a "$275 billion infrastructure spending       plan" to create jobs.              If you can multiply, you know that in just one Obama term, he could've       saved $280 billion, an amount more than she has proposed to revitalize       the economy, had her buddy ended the Afghan war as he promised near       the end of his first term. (And you know the need for infrastructure       spending arose from the Afghan war and other modern endless American       wars.)              In other words, 70 billions a year on an endless war is a lot of money       that could start re-vitalizing the American economy and providing       national health care to all US citizens.              But because either he has no clue or he is lying, Obama just keeps       occupying Bagram --- the sprawling military base - using the pretext       of fighting ISIS and al Qaeda. The more the Afghan quagmire lingers,       the less clear it is whether we are in Afghanistan for Bagram or in       Bagram for Afghanistan.              And if you listen to the Afghans, ISIS and Taliban are there in their       country because they are fighting a patriotic war to expel foreigners       from their soil. So, do these Washington warmongers have any sense of       reciprocity when they send our soldiers out to kill and be killed in       the name of defending America?              Can't these Washington warmongers see that they are minting Afghan       analogues (by the thousands, if not tens of thousands) of the Captain       Khan whose parents they paraded at the Democratic party convention?              If bin Laden was responsible for the 9/11 attacks - which is far from       being certain - he has been long dead. Obama was seen killing him by       remote control, along with his other MVPs VP Biden and SoS Hillary       Clinton. These Democrats were all seen watching the murder reality       show in broad daylight.              How many more Afghans have to die before we quit their country and       leave them in peace?              Distinguished American scholars including the U. of Chicago's John       Mearsheimer have pointed out that ISIS is an ideology that cannot be       defeated by killing people. But the warmongers just pretend that       these scholars had no brains while they knew what to do!              But they don't. All they do is pretend that they know.              They have no clue.              And the Taliban and ISIS in Afghanistan are joining forces to liberate       their country from our occupation, so what is the point of spending so       many tens of billions each year, year after year, and spilling so much       innocent blood from all sides to keep Afghanistan occupied?              Of course, Obama and Hillary are responsible. And Hillary has also       the distinction of being the mother of destruction of Libya and the       mother of the worst refuge crisis for Europe.              Hillary, from hacked diplomatic cables obtained and released by       Wikileaks, is indisputably responsible for millions of homeless in       Syria as well as the deaths of hundreds of thousands of their       relatives and fellow countrymen.              Without Hillary's wilful intervention, Syria and Libya would still be       self-reliant and peaceful today and Europe would certainly be a lot       better off.              It's good that Trump keeps making the voters think about the ISIS mess       the relevant players/actors have created in the last 16 years. From       this point of view, no reasonable voters would want to have Hillary as       president so that we the people would have to bear the burden of her       wars - some of them monsters of her own creation - any further.              lo yeeOn              Afghanistan Is Going From Bad to Worse              [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
