China, Cuba, and North Korea are alike in one sense: they have been
all under siege to various degrees due to Uncle Sam flexing his
muscles before them in the name of "freedom".

To understand how North Korea feels read Kevin Zeese and Margaret
Flowers' "Will the Real Aggressor Please Stand Down?"

That Cuba has gradually increased her citizens' individual liberty is
going hand-in-hand with reduced hostility exerted by the US.

And the Chinese people today more or less enjoy the same liberty as
the people from Taiwan because the US changed its China policy since
Nixon's presidency. Today, the US depends on China so much for its
own economy and knows that China has gone through rapid military
development for self-defense. So, people who talk about a lack of
freedom for the Chinese people really don't know much about China.
