XPost: soc.culture.china, soc.culture.usa, soc.culture.korean       XPost: soc.culture.latin-america, soc.culture.iranian, soc.culture.iraq       XPost: rec.sport.tennis       From: acoustic@panix.com              Trump sez NK leadership won't be around much longer if they continue       to think a certain way --- namely, they need to help their country to       achieve a capability to deploy nukes as a deterrent in order to defend       itself against US threats/attacks.              What NK FM Ri has said is to serve notice that any form of limited       strikes will be vigorously and preemptively defended.              Maybe NK is telling China that she cannot weasel her way out of her       mutual defense treaty with North Korea --- by saying, Oh, but you shot       at Trump's planes/ships first and they aren't even over NK's airspace       or they are in international waters, etc.              As I have said before, the only game in town for NK to do now is to       keep jacking up the costs for the US if it thinks that it can pull a       stunt like what the West and Israel did to Syria and Iraq --- recall       the bombings of the Osiraq reactor in the 1980s called the Operation       Opera or better known as the Operation Babylon and the bombings of       Syria's reactor in the 2000s under the name of Operation Orchard.              In this case, NK is telling China's leadership they would have to       explain to their people why they would let hundreds thousands if not       millions of Koreans die if they chickened out of honoring the mutual       defense treaty their predecessors have signed with their North Korean       counterparts.              The Chinese have a saying about not beating a drowning dog. That       would mean you have a duty to help a drowning dog. The Korean people       from the North or the South do not deserve to die just because they       are not as strong or being beaten down by a mighty one!              lo yeeOn              MILITARY       3 hours ago       US says it's not pushing for regime change in North Korea       By MATTHEW PENNINGTON, Associated Press              http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/09/25/us-says-its-not-pushing-for       regime-change-in-north-korea.html              . . .              Trump's Saturday tweet said: "Just heard Foreign Minister of North       Korea speak at U.N. If he echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they       won't be around much longer!" Trump also used "rocket man" for Kim in       his speech to the U.N. General Assembly last week.              . . .              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
