   So, Afghanistan and its women are about to join a long list of one-time   
   allies betrayed and abandoned by the United States and its allies.   
      
   And the women of Afghanistan are about to join a long list of women around   
   the world abandoned by "Western liberalism/progressivism" under the   
   expedient excuse of "multiculturalism".   
      
   Is "the West" declining, or are we selling the world to savagery, as long   
   as our rulers and their flacks and thugs can live their lives out rolling   
   in wealth, and to Hell with the world and our and their own children and   
   children's children?
