   Being the ultimate weasel, Chirac foresaw the vote and wisely slithered   
   away. Membership for Turkey  is now on the EU's agenda.   
      
   In the EU, a bi-polar world has been formed. There is old colonial Europe   
   headed up by France/Chirac with obedient servant Germany/Schroeder following   
   behind. On the other more powerful side, there is everybody else.   
      
   France and Germany and probably Austria too did not want Turkey. They see   
   the further eroding of French power and otherwise just plain hate Moslems.   
      
   Just as France insists on building Galileo as a show against the US, the EU   
   parliament voted for Turkey just to tell France and Germany who is the   
   boss...and it's not Jack or Jerry. EU parliament has been getting steroid   
   shots. The first to fall victim to parliaments power grab was Berlesconi's   
   cabinet appointee. Now Jack and Jerry are being pummeled by the new bully on   
   the block, the EU parliament.   
      
   France has let the genie out of the bottle and now realize it's not so easy   
   to put it back in. Wait until the Poland-Ukraine-Turkey alliance comes into   
   being!
