   Hospital nurse beheaded

   A NURSE has been beheaded and an assistant murdered in a horrific double   
   murder which has stunned France.   
      
      
   The massacred pair were discovered at a hospital in the southwestern town   
   of Pau on Saturday.   
      
   One had been beheaded – the other had their throat slit.   
      
   Officials said the head of the nurse was found on top of a TV set in the   
   geriatric ward.   
      
   Health minister Philippe Douste-Blazey called for greater coordination   
   between hospitals and police.   
      
   He met with health workers and Interior Ministry officials to discuss ways   
   of combatting violence and boosting security at hospitals.   
      
   “All emergency services, but also psychiatric services must be linked   
   directly to police stations”   
      
   Union leaders said security had been a problem for months and blamed a   
   staff and funding shortage.   
      
   Cathy Sanders, a regional official from Worker’s Front union, told RTL   
   radio said: “It is horror, terror, fear, disgust. People are scared of   
   going back to work.”   
      
   As a precaution staff at the hospital has been double
