In short, Aibus makes better aeroplanes.       > Tough shit sunshine.                     While I agree that Airbus makes a good airplane, the slide of the dollar,       over 30%, should have eaten into Airbus's profit margin on whatever plane       the make and sell.              In fact, for the first time in along time, France ran a trade deficit in       2004. That is worrisome.              On paper the 350 looks better than the 7E7. Moreover, Airbus has       configurated their planes rationally so that a pilot trained       to fly one model and be trained easily to fly an upgraded model.       I think that have had a slight advantage in economy. Indeed,       the engine for the 7E7 as not yet been selected according to       news reports.              So the big problem is the price. Airbus lost 30-40% in pricing competition       over the last couple of years.              Earl              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
