I really wanted       > to know whether the french cared one way or the other.              Go and look at the thousands and thousands of crosses in the military       cemeteries in the north of France and see how they are kept impeccably       and flowered regularly at the expense of the French nation, go and look       at a video of the welcome given to those few surviving heroes who       returned to the beaches for the D-Day 60th anniversary commemoration. Of       course France cares and is thankful. Don't make me laugh,       the USA fought the Germans because it was in the interests of the USA,       nothing more, nothing less.
