Go and look at the thousands and thousands of crosses in the military
cemeteries in the north of France and see how they are kept impeccably
and flowered regularly at the expense of the French nation, go and look
at a video of the welcome given to those few surviving heroes who
returned to the beaches for the D-Day 60th anniversary commemoration. Of
course France cares and is thankful. But where many of you US Americans
seem to go wrong is that you think this puts France in you reternal
debt, not to say thrall. it doesn't.

And you fought the Germans to help France? Don't make me laugh,
the USA fought the Germans because it was in the interests of the USA,
nothing more, nothing less. Nothing wrong with that but do let's get the
   facts straight.
