   You are out of touch: Russia is the biggest producer of oil in the world   
   (~10 mln.barrels), and the second (after Saudis ~ 8 mln.barrels)   
   exporter (because of internal consumption). I am not sure about natural   
   gas, but I'd guess it is in the first place there.
