|    North American vs French view of alcohol    |

From: jchorniak@outer-net.com              Social studies question: comparing North American vs French view of alcohol              I recently read an account of a student in paris who enjoyed a glass of wine       in a public park in paris. She commented on how the park supervisor told her       she couldn't bring glass into the park...but didn't comment on the wine.              On the same token, my father, who used to fly for an airline, would buy       himself a half bottle of champagne while on layover in paris, and enjoy it       in a park. At that time, he says it was not illegal.              Is it legal to enjoy a glass of wine in a public park in Paris (sans glass)?              Jeff              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
