   This d'Urgell guy is just  contributing with his propaganda to the   
   political agenda of Josep Lluis Carod Rovira, leader of separatist party   
   Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC), who has swept to centre stage as   
   the aggrieved target of "death threats".   
      
   In fact Catalibans are masters of the fatwah art. Real death threats are   
   made anonymously, or in a context where the target can be privately   
   pressured, like or the sinister unsigned threats against Albert Boadella by   
   nazi-onanist  goons. Non-nationalists in Catalonia  deal with adolescent   
   insults and low-level intimidation on an almost daily basis. Unfortunately   
   this kind of stunt is on the rise in Spain, generally aimed at politicians   
   and media figures Carod himself and the Carod Youth movement JERC are prime   
   culprits here. Carod's complaints ring hollow while he refuses to condemn   
   the aggressive and unlawful behaviour of the Esquerra youth division in   
   their police-baiting and vandalism, and in intimidating those who have every   
   right to speak Spanish in public and academic addresses.
