If you are a Castilian- speaking second-class citizen you are not able to
earn a decent living in the public sector because you will probably fail
Level C, the minimum, and very stringent, requirement to work in
state-sector jobs. The Level C requirement has for years also fenced out
talented Castilian speakers from public service jobs. After the new Statut
is implemented you won't be able to find a job in the private sector either
because the Botifarran government will require that all internal paper work
in private companies to be conducted in Cocoliche, despite of the fact that
100 % of the population speaks Castillian and 65 % has Castilian as native
language.
And don't think that you will be able to earn a living if you learn the
goddamned Cocoliche but you are not a believer of the ethnofascit credo.
You have to take into account the double-take. Your newly learned Catalan
will be a great party piece and make you instantly, superficially popular in
many flattered social groups, but it does not open doors unless you also
espouse the absurd and counterproductive Botifarran orthodoxy that
accompanies it.
