XPost: soc.culture.russian, soc.culture.europe, soc.culture.german       From: Pepper_Roni@MixedNuts.au              Nobody can even agree on how to fund the A350 and now Airbust says it wants       to outsource the airframe construction?              Never mind the potential loss of Euro jobs, one wonders what's the real       reason for the A350 being outsourced?              Well, Airbust has been blabbering that Boeing's tube construction is the       wrong way to build an airplane, yet they have never built a predominately       composite aircraft themselves.              They say a "panel" construction will make the A350 easier to repair. My       thought is this type of construction will also make for a flimsy airframe,       less rigidity.              By outsourcing, are they simply outsourcing the risk if their design turns       out to be a bad one? ...don't blame the designer, blame the builder.              Is Airbust simply building a better death trap?              http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/6192960.stm              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
