Boeing has been bringing in lots of new orders. The Volga-Dnepr order was
just announced. ALAFCO and Continental also added orders. I think Boeing was
probably happy that Aeroflop cancelled. It freed up some production slots
and there's no shortage of other customers. If you look at Airbus' press
releases, they are usually pretty lame...like A380 will touch down in the
   US....whoopee!

My guess is Boeing has already outsold Airbus on $$$ value. Almost every
plane sold by Boeing was a high profit margin wide body while almost every
plane sold by Airbus was a low profit single aisle. I think Airbus only sold
7 or 8 planes total in February. A big order from AAL will put Boeing way
   out in front.
