   I hesitate to disagree with a Bard, but IMHO the 'te' here addresses the   
   cute one who is the subject and recipient of the poem. There is no   
   direct address to God.   
      
      Dieu te donne santé bonne, ma mignonne.   
      God give you good health, my cute one.   
      
   (I suppose the last line counts as a /pious hope/.)
