You've flounced through this thread with half a dozen posts saying "I
disagree, and you're stupid". No suggestion why you disagree.

So why should you put some meat on those bones? Because if you don't, it
looks like you're incapable of summoning an argument.

Here's an idea of what I'm getting at:

I had a look at your website. It's hilarious. You have the chutzpah to ask
the multitudes who you imagine must use it as an academic authority to cite
you in a particular way, and you don't bother to credit your own sources.
"Studies by George Gerbner"? Which studies? There are several ways you can
tell people, but you don't seem to know about any of them.

And do you think you'll be taken seriously if you include subjective asides
like "I would never go and see such slop as 'Titanic'"? That comment's
pretty funny coming in the middle of a pseudo-academic survey of the
authorities. The survey itself is pretty ropey: No reference to Bordo?
Nothing about the empirical fieldwork leading to cultivation theory? Tsk, I
think you've some reading to do.

The whole site reeks of dilettantism. Dashing from Hitler to colour theory
to violence on TV to the Euro. I suppose specialisation is just too
tedious. It's peppered with redundant phrases and misused words. The
layout makes it difficult to follow your arguments. The white on black and
other fancy colours just make it difficult to read.

In the end, the arguments themselves turn out to be highly dubious, but I
won't get into that. I'm too busy laughing at the sententious way you sign
off the addiction page: "Think carefully on this".

I'll think *very* carefully ON this, don't you worry.
