   My personal opinion, yes.  The Usenet policy, which I prefer, amounts   
   to "I think you're an idiot and have no interest in what you say" and   
   is just an automated form of just skipping an article.  The 'social   
   media' way amounts to "I want to behave like an idiot toward you and   
   want to hide what I say from you" and is merely a way to implement   
   intellectual cowardice.
