   That Gaelic is the language of the garden of Eden is also believed by   
   some.   
      
   A king of Scotland around 1500 (James IV) went so far as to arrange for two   
   babies to be brought up away from human speech.   
      
   He had the babies tended by a deaf-mute nurse alone on an island in the   
   river Forth, so as to investigate whether the original human language was   
   Hebrew or Gaelic (IIRC that was the hypothesis).
