Hello, I am a new member to the Society of Creative Anachronisms, and I am in       somewhat of a rut as far as naming goes. There are so many different sources       and it’s all so confusing!              What I would like to know is the validity and pronunciation of such a name.       Currently, I am favoring a 9th century CE Scottish (“Alba”) persona, but       from my understanding since it is so early, Scottish Gaelic has not diverged       heavily from Irish        Gaelic.               The name in question is Aoífe Dearg inghean Domnaill. The pronunciation that       I have so far is approximately “EE-fa djer-ahk EE-nyen dun-aul”.              Any criticisms/advice would be greatly appreciated!              Thanks,       Ginny              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
