   you CANNOT subscribe to or unsubscribe from a Usenet Newsgroup [NG].   
      
   You can however, set your Newsreader to follow [or not] a NG.

   And you can set a rule in your Newsreader to disregard such postings.   
      
   Wikipedia has all the info you need.   
      
   However,   
   if you follow a NG via Google-groups,

   So grow up and use a dedicated Newsreader.
