   I've been looking at Google Groups and it seems that there the various   
   posts are threaded so that it isn't necessary to quote earlier messages   
   if you only expect the reply to be seen via Google Groups.   
      
   The other issue is I can see no way to use Google Groups to send a   
   private email reply as the email address of the sender is disguised by
