When I get a button on a web page that doesn't do anything, I try a
different browser (first copying, into Notepad+, anything lengthy that
I've filled in in a box). I usually find that works - it was just that
something in a hidden script doesn't work properly in one or other
browser. (I find it a lot since my preferred browser is quite an old
   version of Firefox.)

If it still doesn't work, it can be some host you're blocking in your
hosts file, if you use that method of blocking.
