   We never knew she existed until some time after my mother died.  All   
   very complicated because I never who my maternal Nain was either. She   
   and my Taid separated around 1922 and the two sisters were brought up   
   separately though probably some contact.   
      
   There was just a possibility that her sister might be alive and so be   
   able to answer some questions.   
      
   I tracked down her family eventually with a bit of help from Radio 2.
