   Thanks.  I think it says "Medical", faintly crossed out.  The father is   
   listed as a "Medical practitioner", and the son's occupation is clearly   
   the same as first word of the father's.  My guess is that the census   
   clerk started writing this in the wrong box and corrected himself.
