   The same for Family Tree Maker.  When there is but on common parent, the   
   relationship is described as being "Half"   
   IE Half brother, half 1st cousin, half 1st cousin once removed, etc.   
      
   While this is from Family Tree maker, this is the general explanation I    
   found in several places when I google the term.
