|    Problem with Ancestry?    |
|    24 Jan 20 17:42:42    |
From: NemoNews@hotmail.co.uk              Is anyone else having a problem with Ancestry not displaying Search results?              I recently suffered a hard disk failure and had a new disk fitted so       all-new installation of Windows 10 and using Chrome browser. Here is an       example of the problem which has existed since then:              A search of "All 1841 U.K. Census Collection" for William Cooper, born       in Middlesex in 1825 +/- 2 years produces 23 results but under "Results       1-23 of 23" all I see is rows of blank spaces with little pedigree       symbols at the sides.              A search of "All Census & Electoral Rolls" with the same input produces       77 results with the same blank spaces, but if I then select "1840s" and       then "1841 England Census" in the left-hand column, 23 results are       displayed in the right-hand column as expected.              This happens with any Search - only by starting with broad category and       then drilling down can I get to see any results.              I took a screenshot and tried (twice) to submit the problem to Ancestry       but on both occasions got a message that my case had been submitted but       the attached image "was not saved" and I should submit another comment       with the attachment. I submitted a third "case" explaining what happened.                     --       Jenny M Benson       Wrexham, UK              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
