   I have just come across "Titanis" as the cause of death on an American   
   record (Michigan, 1923.)  It is an original, typed record and that is   
   the exact spelling.   
      
   The only online reference I can find to "titanis" is to an extinct bird.   
     Has anyone any idea what the word should be if it's a typo or what   
   that means if it is correct?
