   Usually someone who for various reasons is known by two different   
   surnames.   
   It can be :-   
   - someone whose mother has re-married   
   - a child of unmarried parents   
   - a previously divorced woman who has reverted to her maiden name   
   - someone who has simply adopted another surname   
   - a widow of more than one husband
