Same problem here. Today I looked up what was available on-line from my
library, and it adds up to very little.

I don't much mind that. What I do greatly mind is how stingy my former
university has been. When I retired as an academic, I lost my university
e-mail account, and I lost library access. I could get a library account
for about $100/year, but it wouldn't give me access to on-line research
journals, which is all I want. Since retirement I have written a few
(very few, as it happens) research publications. and I've had to include
apologies for poor referencing, because I cannot get access to the
   papers I'm citing.
