   I also looked for a source for Barbara's claim.  I used popular media   
   (Yahoo!, Google and Ask Jeeves), as well as Johns Hopkins ELibrary   
   (research journals, more magazine archives, etc).  I can't find   
   anything.  I *could* find references to murders from 1985 in Salt Lake   
   City, the Mormon Murders, and information about the USS Salt Lake.   
   I also found out that if I was homeless, an organization named "Food not   
   Bombs" would give me food in a park somewhere in the city.
