Hi. Thank you for your comments.

Heh, so did we at one point (actually, a couple of "points") -
lived in Bridgewater and West Winfield at different times.
We're now based in Orange County (Middletown/Port Jervis).

Well, those are some of the obvious differences I mentioned.
(along with prices, college experience, what would make the
   scared-of-the-big-city parents, etc.)

I'm now trying to gather info on how their Fashion programs
compare. Oneonta, despite its rep as being in the sticks &
so forth, apparently has a decent (?) Fashion program; they
are even tied to FIT in that Fashion majors at Oneonta do
3 years there and the final year at FIT.

It seems to me that if you got into FIT that that is where
you'd want to go for various reasons if you're into Fashion
(besides the program, there's the awesome potential to make
contacts, as well as learn NYC, etc). But it certainly is
no small factor to see how their programs compare. It would
kill me if she chose Oneonta to please certain people, while
thinking that the program was just as good as FIT's, only to
find out that she passed up on a major opportunity in NY.

   Thanx again for any help/comments.
