Not at all. The subject is the mixed impact extending freeways to the
old urban core had on those places. Like most things there were good
and bad impacts. For but one instance; the demolition of entire
corridors has been characterized as "urban renewal" by some and as
"racial cleansing" or "community destruction" by others.

I agree with Leroy that freeways relocated problems and expanded on his
comment by saying it worked both ways relocating problems but also
recapturing assets that would have otherwise left and never come back.
So far I've been trying to be nothing but polite and positive and on
topic for first replies. The first time got me the "crock!" comment in
reply. I replied in kind but also included topical content. Now
Nebenzahl chimes in with "bullshit." No discussion of the topic just
   the participants. Well since that's the way these things go;

    But so fucking what?

libertarian pinheads who keep insisting on flat-earth "science"

You know, I think Mr. Cote could give the Arabs and the Israelis
a few lessons on how to keep old hatreds and animosity alive.

    empirical evidence (mainly from observations

How's your Price-Anderson analysis coming along? Your apology for
accusing me of being an energy waster? Your excuse for "allowing" the
Sun to keep causing more cancer than nuclear plants? Your corrections
with regard to your claims about the Iraqi war? What ever happened to
your chemical treatise on 20 pounds of carbondioxide? How about
apologizing for the "Fuck off." comment? The "HITLER" comment?
Your ignorance of the geoclimatic history of Britan? Cape Cod? How
about apologizing to the unsuspecting others for exposing them to
comments like " Robert Cote is full of shit" and now just "bullshit?" Do
you still trust Leroy Baxter? Secret military roles to protect the
   domestic oil industry?

My post was in no way as abusive as your feeble attempts at usenet
manipulation. For shame. Me, I'm interested in opinions on the varied
impacts of freeways on urban centers.
