   My wife got an M.S. at NTU recently, in a different field from the one   
   you are contemplating.  Her classes were all taken remotely, with   
   videotapes, online videos, email, and Federal Express; if I recall   
   correctly sometimes there were locally proctored exams.  All of the   
   classes were taught in well-known brick-and-mortar universities   
   associated with NTU.  Most of the students were regularly enrolled and   
   physically present, but there was a camera in the back of the   
   classroom for people like her.  The professors were responsive, she   
   learned a lot, and the whole thing worked well for her.
