   My name is Joel Tucker. I am the owner of JT's Stockroom. (See my   
   initials right there in the business name?) I am posting this message   
   as a followup to statements made in a prior posting.   
      
   The statements in question are these:   
      
   >I contacted JT's Stockroom in Silverlake (Los Angeles) and spoke with   
   >a US Postal Inspector this morning about this obvious incident of mail   
   >fraud. The USPS considers the situation serious because similar   
   >letters have been mailed to other recepients across the U.S.  In my

   >1. I spoke with Adrian, the owner of JT's Stockroom who said, in a   
   >search of his records, does not show ever billing or shipping items   
   >from his store to Mr. Touretsky. Adrian also said that very rarely do   
   >items get sent out where invoices do not provide a Bill To: ~ AND ~ a   
   >Ship To: address. He said exceptions are made with local businesses   
   >that contract with him to do custom work on leather apparel (chaps,   
   >vests, etc.) Clearly, this was not the case here.   
      
   In response:   
      
   A. Most importantly, we do not furnish information about orders placed   
   with our company one way or the other except to people who have done   
   business with us who are inquiring about their own orders.   
      
   B. I am the owner of JT's Stockroom. My name is not Adrian, and I   
   never the conversation described above never happened.   
      
   C. We don't have anyone named Adrian who works here.   
      
      
   Again, we would not give out ANY information about whether someone has   
   placed orders here, even if it was to deny that someone had, because   
   then a non-denial could be construed as a confirmation. So we don't   
   comment at all. It would take a subpoena or court order to compel us   
   to do differently.   
      
   We are one of the oldest e-commerce companies in existence. The kind   
   support of the Usenet community, as early as 1989, was the key to   
   getting this company off the ground. So I remain concerned about what   
   is said about us here, particularly when comments being made are   
   negative and false.   
      
   I have no opinion about any of the other matters in the   
   above-referenced controversy. But I felt compelled to correct the   
   incorrect statements above, because they cast my company in a falsely   
   negative light.   
      
   JT's Stockroom guards the privacy of its customers with great care,   
   because it's the proper thing to do, and because to do otherwise would   
   be bad for business.
