   Came across this thread and on a long shot, wondering if you might have a   
   Darby Thornton in your tree.Darby is my paternal grandfather, married Sarah   
   Connelly from Inis Oir here in the United States. Darby was born in the late   
   1800's (~1888 or so) in the    
   district of Spiddal with a Furbough address. If on the chance he is a distant   
   relative, I'd love to hear back from you .... no leads from any of the   
   Thornton's in that area
