   I agree that the use of the word "dim" is more a reference to the light at   
   that time of day than her hair colour. The whole poem has a dreamy, fuzzy   
   quality and I imagine asking someone who is almost asleep to describe   
   something, like a persons hair, and    
   they might say "dim" as they drift in and out.
