   Ukraine has had time and warning to move women and children to safety as the   
   sound of oncoming bombardment is heard.   
   Short of using modern nuclear, chemical or biological weapons, the more brutal   
   technique of bombardment and siege must be used against the opponent's cities   
   in wartime in order to seize. The enemy population traditionally has choice to   
   surrender or die    
   via the horrors of siege.   
      
   Predictably the West now thinks it to be a war crime to use any kind of   
   military action against a city in order to force its surrender.   
   Do you see how the US will make it a war crime for Russia to do what the US   
   has done in our own police actions of the past 75 years.   
   It is OK for US to nuke cities of its real war enemies and to bomb villages   
   during police actions, or how many bombs did US drop on Hanoi?   
      
   What is curious is how Russia intends to manage the Ukrainian slavs who will   
   always hate Russia.  Let them keep Kiev and Western Ukraine.  What we want is   
   for the end of Ukrainian army in the Dombass.    
   Ukrainian army needs to agree to retreat and the talks need to discuss this if   
   we wish immediate end to hostility.   
   Nothing new here.   
   US doesn't really want peace. US willing to sacrifice Ukrainian lives so as to   
   fight Russia. Just as long as no need to provide US soldiers and risk antiwar   
   sentiment within US because loss of US life, US Government will provide   
   Ukraine with all the    
   weapons it can muster.   
   By doing this, US is discovering whether or not Russian sieges can be   
   defeated.  Attempting to make it a war crime to bombard a city during siege is   
   like making any acts of war during a war a war crime.   
   It is to be expected that Kiev will be flattened if peace cannot be agreed to.   
   US and Russia are already virtually at war. Is US going to send a policeman to   
   arrest Putin?
