From: andronicus451@gmail.com              In the Christian faith, and in the Holy Scriptures, holiness is achieved by       accepting Lord Jesus as personal Savior, and confessing sins.              We should not worry about the punishment, as the price has already been       paid 2000 years ago at the cross of the Calvary (Golgotha).              Psalm 32:5       I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I       will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity       of my sin. Selah.              Proverbs 28:13       Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses       and renounces them finds mercy.              1 John 1:9       If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to       cleanse us from all unrighteousness.              James 5:16       Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be       healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.              Here we emphasise the important fact that, though the sins are       confessed to man with Holy Spirit as the witness, the real forgiveness       comes from the promise of the LORD God. For God cannot lie and do       otherwise than he promised in His Scripture.              For starting a holy nation from an less than holy past, one must       first sanctify himself and confess sins. This is the good way of       sanctification.              Lord Jesus Christ is the high priest of the New Testament, as it       is written:              Hebrews 7:26-28        26 For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent,       undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens;       27 who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices,       first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He       did once for all when He offered up Himself. 28 For the Law appoints men       as high priests who are weak, but the word of the oath, which came after       the Law, appoints a Son, made perfect forever.              So, according to this Scripture, priest must first offer the sacrifice (Lamb)       for his own sins, or otherwise his sacrifice for the nation will not be       accepted.              It is all available by the grace of God and the cross of the Calvary.              John 3:16       For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that       whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.              This includes former KGB, FSB as well. All who accept Jesus as Savior       can be cleansed from their sinful past and have a new beginning with       an end in everlasting life.              in Christ       Amen              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
