   Eventually, confessions serve to make amends once a man is determined to   
   stop doing sin, mistakes, evil or wrongs, if it was stronger than his own   
   powers   
   or he decided he will not do so again under no circumstances. This is the   
   meaning of "repent".   
      
   Religions were often blamed for going with the armies to ease their conscience   
   about killing that is about to happen in wars. To wash soldier's hands whenever   
   they are dirty.   
      
   There are various interpretations about how far the grace of God goes in these   
   circumstances, but some say that both will go to Hell, the one who kills and   
   the   
   one who is killed but planned to kill (murder).   
      
   I doubt that believer's place is in an unjust war notorious for killing of   
   civilians,   
   murders and rapes. This is not the Kingdom of Heaven I preached in this line   
   of meditations. Even if the mainstream religion says so.   
      
   There is a price to pay for each crime, and there is a proverb:   
   "Run not too far, for thou must return the same distance."   
      
   If you do not return, confess and make amends, you will probably have to take   
   that with you. And this is something most people instinctively avoid.
